Eliu Gift Hub is a series of innovation spaces to explore the intersections in Culture, Community, Commerce, and Connectivity across the African continent.
In 2021, during the COVID-19 widespread pandemic and economic effects on global south countries, there are fewer still opportunities for creative industries to thrive and fairly compensate African creatives and artisans.
Government border closures and lockdown have exacerbated frail economies for communities that are reliant on creatives. However, digitization and the digitally connected economy allows each person with a cell phone the opportunity to share their gift via social media and e-commerce storefronts with the world.
Eliu Gift Hub is a love offering, an ecosystem of enterprise support, the digital representation that validates lived African experiences on the continent and beyond, to the world. By curating cultural communities that create bridges in dismantling challenges in commerce from Africa to the world, we look to unearth talents that express the gift of giving.
Eliu is an innovation sandbox for Africa, by Africa from Africa to the entire world and beyond.
We are open to collaboration, contextualized expression of content, and the equitable commercialization of African culture that resonates locally, regionally, and globally.
Our programmatic themes include:
- Enterprise support for next-generation creatives
- Digital co-creation space for online engagement, product monetization, and exploiting services for Africa’s 4th Industrial Revolution
- Curating alternative experiences around culture, commerce, and ways in which we can bridge local, regional and international connections between people.

Collaboration Brief
The Eliu Gift Hub is an innovation, technology hub space for digital, enterprise support for arts, crafts, and culture among creatives and artisans in Ghana. The first hub space located on Nii Armah Ollenu Street, Airport West, Accra is at the intersection of culture, commerce, and conversation and serves as a pilot digital and physical space for e-commerce and conversational commerce outreach to start-up, small, and medium-sized businesses in the creative industry.
The African Continental Free Trade Agreement has created a Single African market, we need creative, impactful business onboarding supporting for entrepreneurs in informal, creative arts, and fledgling industries to also participate in the local, regional and global economy through digitization.
- Digital support space with ready-to-use equipment for products and services and e-commerce platform sign-ups
- Enterprise workshops and support to guide community members in the digital economy
- Market-pop-ups and commerce interaction + validation of arts and crafts in local and digital economies for a global audience.
Success is measured by membership engagement, global digital representation of brands within the community, ability to sell and curate audiences by leveraging knowledge-share and subsidized costs in global shipping platforms and last-mile shipping partners.
Our Theory of Change is to have as many arts and craftsmen and women on the African continent participating in the Global Economy; year one is to set up the mother hub in Accra Ghana and then to expand the model in partnership with schools, institutions, and other innovation spaces where we as Africans live and thrive.
